Thorn de Vries

Thorn de Vries is a Dutch actor currently pursuing a degree in Drama and Contemporary Music Theatre at the Amsterdam University of the Arts.

They began their artistic career in 2020, transitioning from work as a drag king and video editor to acting. Thorn gained recognition for their role as Lesley in the youth series SpangaS: De Campus (2020–2022), followed by a leading role in the Netflix feature film Anne+ (2021) and the role of Nico in Flikken Maastricht (2022). In 2023, they appeared in the Videoland series We Zijn Beesten.

In 2024, Thorn made their directorial debut with the short film Kutyuppen, which premiered at the Netherlands Film Festival, and played Charlie in the psychological drama series Onopgelost, alongside Georgina Verbaan.

In 2025, they published their first book, Schillen, and performed with Mensen Zeggen Dingen and Girls Won’t Be Girls presenting their work in spoken word and performance art. They also presented their graduation piece Als Ik Ouder Ben in Theater de Landing.
